WAREHOUSE CONTROL & PERFORMANCE
Zone Picking
Zone picking divides the picking operation into defined areas, with work performed within each assigned zone. Orders spanning zones require a controlled method of transfer or consolidation.

A WORKED EXAMPLE
One order across two zones.
An order needs two items from Zone A and one from Zone B. Each zone records its contribution, and the process confirms all three items before release. Zone A finishing first is not proof the order is complete.
