WAREHOUSE CONTROL & PERFORMANCE
Warehouse Receipt
A warehouse receipt acknowledges goods held by a warehouse under the relevant storage arrangement. Its form and legal effect depend on the document, jurisdiction and applicable law.

- Verify the goodsRecord identity, quantity and conditions.
- Review the rightsUse the applicable legal framework.
Use the agreed units, actual records and approved procedures for your operation.
A WORKED EXAMPLE
A receipt email is not automatically negotiable.
A warehouse emails confirmation of 20 received cartons. A financing transaction requires review of a formal warehouse receipt and its applicable legal status. The operational email should not be treated as a negotiable instrument merely because it confirms physical receipt.
