INVENTORY & WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS
Mispick
A mispick is a picking error in which the selected item, quantity or required stock attribute does not match the pick instruction.
MISPICK IN PRACTICE
- Compare instruction & stock
- Verify the selection
- Correct & investigate
A WORKED EXAMPLE
Right SKU. Wrong quantity.
An order calls for two eaches, but the picker takes two cases of 12. The product identity is right while the quantity is wrong by 22 eaches. A pack-stage check can stop the shipment, but the investigation should also examine the pick instruction and unit mapping.
