LOAD CAPACITY & PHYSICAL CONSTRAINTS
Cube out
A load cubes out when available usable space becomes the limiting constraint before the applicable weight limit is reached. Loading geometry and operating restrictions determine the usable space.
CUBE OUT IN PRACTICE
- Check the constraintsIdentify space, mass and handling limits.
- Plan the arrangementUse actual packed shapes and restrictions.
- Evaluate alternativesCompare suitable packaging and equipment options.
Use the agreed units, actual records and approved procedures for your operation.
A WORKED EXAMPLE
Space exhausted. Weight allowance remains.
A vehicle reaches its approved usable loading arrangement while the cargo remains below its applicable weight limit. Fragile packages cannot be stacked further. The remaining mass allowance does not make more usable space, and forcing extra packages into gaps would not be an acceptable solution.

A LITTLE MORE CONTEXT
Questions about Cube out
Must every void be filled to cube out?
No. Some space may be unusable under the actual constraints.
Is cube out the same as weigh out?
No. They identify different limiting constraints.
Should unrelated dense cargo always be added?
No. Compatibility, securing, route and commercial requirements need review.
