Process manufacturing produces goods through formulas, recipes or transformation processes, often in batches or continuous flows. Material quantities and output can be tracked by measures such as mass or volume alongside later packaged units.

PROCESS MANUFACTURING IN PRACTICE

  1. Define the formulaApprove ingredients, units and version.
  2. Execute the processTrack actual inputs, conditions and output.
  3. Reconcile and releaseRecord losses, by-products and quality status.

Use the agreed units, actual records and approved procedures for your operation.

A WORKED EXAMPLE

Bulk output and packaged units need a verified conversion.

A batch is produced in bulk and then filled into retail containers. The operation reconciles actual bulk output, filling quantities and released units rather than assuming the planned formula directly equals available cartons.
