OUTSOURCED FULFILLMENT MODELS
Fulfillment as a Service (FaaS)
Fulfillment as a Service is a commercial label for outsourced fulfillment offered as an accessible service platform. It commonly combines warehouse execution, technology connections and activity-based charges.
FULFILLMENT AS A SERVICE IN PRACTICE
- Describe the workloadSpecify stock, orders and handling needs.
- Read the commercial modelReview activity rates and commitments.
- Test delivery of serviceValidate orders, reporting and exceptions.
Use the agreed units, actual records and approved procedures for your operation.
A WORKED EXAMPLE
Usage pricing can coexist with a minimum.
A provider quotes per-order handling alongside a monthly minimum and separate storage. The service may still be marketed as FaaS. The buyer models its real order profile and commitments instead of assuming the label means every cost varies directly with volume.
