OBJECTIVES & OPERATING PRIORITIES
Critical success factors (CSF)
Critical success factors are the conditions or areas of performance an organization identifies as essential to achieving a defined objective. They guide priorities and the measures used to assess progress.

- Identify the factorsChoose what must work to achieve that outcome.
- Choose the evidenceLink each factor to appropriate measures and actions.
Use the agreed units, actual records and approved procedures for your operation.
A WORKED EXAMPLE
Accurate item setup supports accurate orders.
A launch depends on shipping the correct sellable unit. The team identifies verified item setup as a critical success factor and uses controlled barcode and UOM checks as evidence. A high shipment count alone would not demonstrate that this factor was achieved.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUR QUOTE
Agree the requirement before comparing quotes
Use the actual shipment, stock and service requirements. Record the billing unit, included work and responsibility for exceptions.
