MATERIAL HANDLING & PROCESS CAPACITY
Conveyor
A conveyor moves suitable goods along a defined path using equipment such as belts, rollers or chains. Powered and gravity-based configurations have different capabilities and controls.
CONVEYOR IN PRACTICE
- Match the loadCheck dimensions, mass and packaging.
- Validate the processTest transfers and sustained complete-line output.
- Control safe operationFollow approved guarding and maintenance procedures.
Use the agreed units, actual records and approved procedures for your operation.
A WORKED EXAMPLE
A carton works. A soft pack behaves differently.
A line trial runs rigid cartons successfully, but a soft mailer catches at a transfer point. The operator escalates the incompatibility and follows the approved safe procedure. A successful test with one package did not establish suitability for the complete product mix.
