WAREHOUSING & CUSTOMS CONTROL
Bonded warehouse
A bonded warehouse holds eligible goods under a customs-authorized arrangement, with duties or other import charges treated according to the applicable procedure. Requirements depend on the jurisdiction and authorization.

A WORKED EXAMPLE
Stock on site. Release still required.
An importer places goods into an authorized bonded facility. A sales order later requests part of that stock for the domestic market. The warehouse must follow the relevant release process and confirm the goods’ customs status before dispatching them. Physically picking a carton does not establish that duties have been settled or that removal is permitted. Requirements and timing must come from the actual authorization and jurisdiction.
