FULFILLMENT & SHIPPING DOCUMENTS
Blind shipment
A blind shipment uses an agreed document or branding arrangement intended to keep a supplier or fulfillment party from being presented to a specified recipient. The exact scope must be defined.
BLIND SHIPMENT IN PRACTICE

- Approve documentsVerify branding and required information.
- Test the journeyCheck delivery, exceptions and returns.
Use the agreed units, actual records and approved procedures for your operation.
A WORKED EXAMPLE
Branded slip. Actual shipping origin.
A retailer asks its supplier to ship directly to a consumer with the retailer’s packing slip. The supplier’s identity is omitted from that slip, but carrier tracking can still show the city where the parcel entered the network. A return label may use a third address. These are distinct data surfaces. The agreed blind-shipping service should explain which can be controlled rather than promise complete anonymity.

A LITTLE MORE CONTEXT
Questions about Blind shipment
Does blind shipping change the actual shipper?
It can change presented branding or details, but it does not itself change the physical fulfillment arrangement.
Can the parcel’s origin still appear in tracking?
Yes. Confirm what the carrier displays rather than assuming it can be hidden.
Is a branded packing slip enough to define the service?
No. Labels, notifications, documents, returns and exceptions also need agreement.
