CUSTOMER SUPPORT & REVERSE LOGISTICS
After-sale service
After-sale service is support provided after a purchase, including troubleshooting, returns, exchanges, repairs and warranty handling. It connects customer decisions with the physical movement and disposition of goods.

A WORKED EXAMPLE
One replacement. One controlled return.
A customer reports a failed unit and the brand authorizes a replacement plus return of the original. The 3PL ships one replacement and receives the returned unit into a hold location for inspection. That return must not increase saleable inventory until the agreed inspection and release are completed. The support case links the outbound replacement, returned serial if applicable, inspection result and final stock decision.
