LOGISTICS SYSTEMS & MEASUREMENT
Unique Parcel Identifier (UPI)
A unique parcel identifier is a reference used to distinguish a particular package within a defined carrier or business system. Its uniqueness and format depend on the issuing scheme.

- Preserve the historyTrack scans and label changes.
Use the agreed units, actual records and approved procedures for your operation.
A WORKED EXAMPLE
One order. Two parcel references.
A customer order is packed into two parcels, each with its own identifier. A carrier may assign a further tracking reference at handover. The system preserves those links so one delivered parcel is not mistaken for the whole order.
