Job Description

As a Junior District Sales Executive, you will play a key role in growing our local business by bringing in new customers and ensuring high-quality account follow-up. Your daily activities will be driven by a variety of practical and impactful sales initiatives, including:

Business Development

  • Manage a portfolio of prospects and customers within a defined geographic territory in the Belgian region.
  • Identify new business opportunities, analyze competitors, and propose tailored international logistics solutions (transportation, customs brokerage, warehousing, etc.).
  • Present value-added proposals, including logistics solution designs and cost-benefit analyses.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Meet regularly with customers on-site.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key contacts.
  • Support the onboarding of new customers, including team introductions, building your internal global network, handling administrative requirements, and ensuring smooth information transfer.

Follow-up & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and timely commercial information within our CRM system.
  • Participate in account reviews, communicate customer expectations to internal teams, and support problem-resolution efforts, including payment follow-up when necessary.

Training & Collaboration

  • Participate in internal training programs to strengthen your sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Work closely with local operational teams (Customs, Transportation, IT, etc.) and regional subject matter experts to build tailored customer solutions.

Market Awareness & Engagement

  • Represent Expeditors at local professional networks and industry events as directed by management.
  • Be prepared to contribute to additional projects or assignments based on local or regional priorities.

 

Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of customer logistics and supply chain challenges
  • Ability to analyze situations, develop strategic solutions, and act with agility
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken
  • Comfort using digital tools and technology
  • High level of autonomy combined with a strong team spirit
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire trust and gain commitment
  • Strong commercial drive, competitive mindset, and results orientation
  • Eager to hunt
