Facilities Associate

Description

1. Job Summary  

Responsibilities under supervision include performing building and grounds maintenance. Timely communication with management is crucial. Responsible for assisting in all areas of operations including the oversight, approval and planning process of Receiving, Shipping, Pick and Pack, Order Verification, Returns and staffing (including temporary labor) to ensure compliance with production schedules and to enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. 

2. Essential Job Functions 

• Assist in performing mechanical, electrical, and general (plumbing, painting, carpentry, concrete patching, etc.) repairs to AMS’ facilities 

• Escorts contractors and skilled laborers where necessary  

• Troubleshoots and performs adjustments and/or repairs of furnishings and equipment 

• Fills in with general warehouse work as needed 

• Resetting storage racking as needed 

• Drives company vehicles as assigned 

• Other duties as assigned

4. Job Specifications – includes Education, physical and mental demands, and working conditions 

• Experience in facilities maintenance or comparable construction trade a plus, but not required 

• Willing and able to become forklift certified (this requires drug testing prior to employment payed for by AMS) 

• Mechanical abilities 

• Comfortable with heights up to 60 feet 

• Safe use and understanding of a variety of hand and power tools 

• Good written and verbal communication skills 

• Strong work ethic. 

• Demonstrates initiative 

• Willing to work under different working conditions such as exposure to water, dust, grease, paint fumes, chemicals, and equipment noise and vibration with knowledge of the proper PPE 

• Reliable transportation with a clean driving record 

• Provide Form MVR from the Department of Motor Vehicles 

5. Working Conditions 

This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely is a standing/walking role that uses standard janitorial/custodial equipment such as broom, vacuum, mop, various cleaners, etc.
