Summary

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Material Department of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

  • You will assist Senior Logistics Management Specialists to ensure the integration of logistics elements into the ship design and construction process.
  • You will support all aspects of the maintenance planning process, including the development of the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and the associated required maintenance documentation.
  • You will participate in in-process review of technical manuals to ensure the logistics makeup and functionality of equipment are adequately supported.
  • You will attend design reviews, Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) meetings and Quarterly Program Reviews (QPR).
  • You will work with commercial vendors, support commands, and other personnel to achieve loadout goals.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of maintenance planning and integrated logistics support, including Planned Maintenance System (PMS) development, Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC), and Technical Manuals. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Utilizing knowledge of Navy Coordinated Shipboard Allowance List (COSAL) incremental products, Allowance Parts List (APL), and National Stock Numbers (NSN); 2) Investigating supply and requisition issues, including stock number migration, source determination, status tracking, and identifying substitute materials; 3) Generating requisitions in support of equipment, services, and commodities; 4) Proficiency using Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), eMALL, OneTouch and Government Purchase Card for support procurement; 5) Utilizing knowledge of configuration management and hierarchical structuring of components, systems and subsystems; 6) Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook.
