Summary

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the N97 SUBMARINES & MARITIME INDUSTRIAL OPERATIONS Department of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

  • You will serve as the Program Support Inventory Control Point (PSICP) designated member of the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) management team for assigned systems, equipment/platforms and provide supply expertise to assist acquisition managers.
  • You will evaluate alternative logistics support strategies relative to funds availability and, if necessary, formulate alternative support concepts to achieve ILS program objectives.
  • You will develop and maintain milestones and performance statistics for optimum weapon support and monitor and control progress to ensure timely and quality delivery of supply support ILS element products.
  • You will coordinate and provide guidance to NAVSUP WSS personnel in order to effectively execute overall logistics support of assigned systems, equipment, and platforms.
  • You will prepare and present briefs, management reports, and other requested updates for assigned systems and associated equipment to both internal and external customers.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing others; demonstrating both oral and written communication skills along with problem solving skills. Must have knowledge and understand the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) spectrum to include coordination and development and planning for; provisioning, allowancing, configuration management, requirements determination, repairable management, postproduction support, budgetary planning and execution, overall program support management, logistics data maintenance, maintenance planning, procurement execution, packaging, handling, storage and transportation. Developing and maintaining milestones and performance statistics for optimum weapon support. Monitoring and controlling progress to ensure timely and quality delivery of supply support ILS element products. Monitoring contractor effort and visits to prime contractors, major vendors and support sites. Assigning priorities to the performance of work to expedite the manufacture and distribution of material required for fleet operations.
