Description:

Responsible for the execution of day to day transportation operations and project management activities within a Global Transportation Team. Tasks and duties will vary based on changing priorities and missions. Duties include project management and execution, shipment track and trace, vendor relations, customer service, carrier performance reporting, metric management, reporting and information dissemination, and leading task/project oriented meetings.
 

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute projects as per Managers requests/instructions
  • Execute project plans to drive continuous improvement  - i.e ESC projects within EMEA
  • Ensure SOPS, SWIs, processes are documented, updated and properly communicated to reflect Google’s needs clearly to carriers..
  • Coordinate with multiple warehouses, carriers, and service providers to solve problems.
  • Work closely with Command Center to identify carrier issues for resolution
  • Work with Compliance team investigating any carrier related issues
  • Monitor Transport Guts ticket flows ensuring quick response and resolution
  • Analyze performance data and identify process improvement opportunities                     
  • Manage and negotiate ongoing delivery issues/opportunities
  • Create task lists, work plans and define milestones critical to delivering successful projects
  • Ability to create and provide presentations on performance levels to vendors and customer
  • Proactive approach to cost saving, consolidation, and on-time performance initiatives
  • Facilitate regular meetings on; Carriers, MBRS, Projects existing and future
  • Support other Team members when applicable

Qualifications

Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements:

  • 2+ years of transportation and logistics experience.
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience
  • 2 years continuous process improvement experience
  • Experience with air, road, ocean, and dedicated/white glove movements
  • High-tech or Critical Logistics experience a plus
  • Dynamic personality; comfortable speaking in public. Accustomed to leading meetings with customers, vendors and key stakeholders
  • Multitask and Re-prioritize work as needed
  • Ability to anticipate issues/negative outcomes and work to resolve proactively
  • Strong organizational, time management, and written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to adapt in dynamic environment
  • Aptitude for learning new software applications and technology platforms
  • Highly motivated, results-driven attitude
