CONSUMER ORDERS & DELIVERY
Business-to-consumer fulfillment (B2C)
B2C fulfillment processes orders sold by a business to individual consumers, including preparing the correct items and handling the agreed shipment, delivery and returns requirements.
BUSINESS-TO-CONSUMER FULFILLMENT IN PRACTICE
- Validate the orderConfirm item, address, stock and service requirements.
- Pick and packVerify variants and required presentation.
- Confirm the handoffRecord shipment events and support exceptions.
Use the agreed units, actual records and approved procedures for your operation.
A WORKED EXAMPLE
100 orders. 140 item picks.
A day includes 60 single-item orders and 40 orders with two items: 100 orders and 140 item picks. Labor and charges may depend on both counts, together with packaging and special handling. Treating every B2C order as one pick understates this hypothetical workload. A broad category label cannot replace the actual order profile.
