BUSINESS-TO-RETAILER FULFILLMENT IN PRACTICE

  1. Confirm the guideIdentify order, routing and receiving instructions.
  2. Build the shipmentPrepare requested packs, labels and messages.
  3. Verify the handoffMeet appointment and delivery requirements.

Use the agreed units, actual records and approved procedures for your operation.

A WORKED EXAMPLE

Ten stores. Ten destination allocations.

A retail order allocates 100 cartons evenly across ten stores: ten cartons each. Sending all 100 to a distribution center is not equivalent if the instructions require direct-to-store delivery. Conversely, store labels do not authorize changing a DC delivery into ten separate shipments. Confirm both allocation and routing before dispatch.
